PSA: We’re Moving!

were-moving

It’s been a great six months! And while I found my love for blogging through WordPress and my work here at Video Gamer 300, I afraid it’s time to call the curtains on this young blog of mine. I started VG300 with grand ambitions, but truth be told, this being my first dedicated video gaming blog, it was a little rough around the edges. That said, I’ve been attempting to maintain several blogs of late and that hasn’t been working out very well. So this is it folks, VG300 will be, as of this post, no more.

Instead I will spend more time building content for my magazine’s blog which you can find at http://killerappmag.wordpress.com/. I will still maintain a personal gaming blog of sorts and for that head on over to http://stay-awhile-and-listen.blogspot.sg/, in which I most recently discuss strategies to beating the Hearthstone’s expansion, The Curse of Naxxramas, second wing’s bosses on Heroic difficulty.

So thank you! Whoever you are and wherever you’re from, for following and reading what I have to say on VG300. It has been an encouraging, pleasant learning experience, and I hope you’ll join us on the Killer App Mag blog and my personal one soon!

300: Prologue

VG300 banner

Welcome to Video Gamer 300, your ancillary information/opinion peddler for articles pertaining to science, technology, and above all, video games. It is my opinion, knowledge, and interpretation of current affairs, developments and events in the previously listed fields, neatly packaged and carefully curated into very palatable 300 words (or thereabouts) pieces for your quick consumption—thus VG300.

Who am I? Well I’m Reuben (Delared if you’re into E-Sports, or Superdelared if you watch my stream on Twitch.tv), but I suspect my name won’t mean much to you—yet at least. I’m not a professed expert on my selection of topics but I’ve been reading and writing these things long enough to hopefully deliver a fairly convincing/compelling read.

What you are reading is the genesis of VG300’s being—the first words penned into a blog with gloriously high ambitions and modest expectations.

I’m a huge gamer and I thoroughly enjoy writing. Gaming and I go way back to the 16-bit SEGA Mega Drive, before transitioning over to PC and more recent video game consoles. I’ve dabbled in E-Sports and ventured occasional attempts at modding and video gaming programming (sadly with very little success).

I value conciseness over elaborateness but I do admit that the latter can be more useful/helpful depending on the demands of the topic/situation. What you’re reading is the genesis of VG300’s being—the first words penned into a blog with gloriously high ambitions and modest expectations.

That number you see next to the title is the word count for the current piece. A presentation trademark if you will, of my brand of writing here.

Here’s to the many months and years I hope to be keeping this blog alive, and thank you kind reader for taking the time to read this rather extempore introduction. May you hear more from me soon!
